The Cocoanut Grove Fire Impacted Hundreds of Individuals
From Around the World

While 490 people died as a result of the Cocoanut Grove nightclub fire, hundreds more were impacted by the inferno. They included those who escaped with injuries, first responders, eye witnesses and officials involved in the investigation and/or prosecution of the club owners. Cocoanut Grove historian David W. Blaney has meticulously gathered biographical material on these individuals. Their stories are important for understanding the consequences of this tragedy.
