"Burton McDevitt, her brother, made the identification by her Hudson High School, class of 1941, class ring" (Worcester Telegram, Worcester, MA, 11/30/1942). Also: "She was a talented soloist and appeared in many musicals and entertainments." "...The whole story, which was scandalous then, is that she was at the Grove with a married man...Of course, that wasn't mentioned" (David Bonazzoli, Hudson historian, December 2009). The above tool business (later the largest producer of broaching machines in the U.S.) was still operating in Hudson into the 21st century as a division of Pioneer Broach Co., of Los Angeles, CA. A modest rough flat stone, bearing only her name and years of birth and death, rests apart from a nearby family lot (where her mother would later be interred upon her 1957 death).
