In a multi-table party to honor touring cowboy actor Charles "Buck" Jones, age 50, dead, on the main dining room raised rear terrace with her husband Paul, age 35, also dead. Couple were two of 16 victims to perish in the movie industry gathering of 29, hosted by film executive Herman Rifkin, age 58 (Born 1/16/1884. Died 1/15/1966, age 81. Last residence Boston), injured, and his wife Pauline, age 56, dead, of Newton, MA. "The group had been attending a party at the home of the Rifkins and later in the evening all adjourned to the night club to continue the party" (Waltham News-Tribune, Waltham, MA, 11/30/1942). Her remains were identified with those of her husband at Southern Mortuary, Boston. Was living with her parents in The Bronx, NY, as of the 1930 federal census. Married in 1931, in The Bronx. Surname (with her husband) was misspelled "Barron" (with two "r"s) in some news accounts, correct on their death certificates and on the final official November 1943 Boston Committee on Public Safety casualty list. Couple left no children. With her husband was one of 56 married couples present at the club in which both spouses lost their lives. Pair were two of 18 Grove victims (including five within their own party) from the comfortable Hub suburb of Brookline. Parents Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Esther (Feld) Glaines (also spelled "Glanz"). Burial with her husband at United Hebrew Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. Middle name Glaines.
