Age 41. 56 Charlotte Street, Dorchester (Boston), MA. Born (surname Cousin) in 1901, in Russia. Died on 11/29/1942 (Sunday), of burns (death certificate). Housewife (death certificate). Husband Isaac, age 61, also perished. Near-clairvoyant text in his will: "...If my wife and I shall die in a common accident or disaster, it shall be conclusively presumed that she in fact predeceased me" (Boston Evening American, 12/09/1942). Wife actually succumbed on Sunday, one day after her husband. Will of her husband was contested by two adult sons of Mr. Gordon from a previous marriage, upheld in June 1943 in Suffolk County Probate Court. To the U.S. in 1911. Former Minnie Cousin (surname Zigman by a previous marriage), married Mr. Gordon on 1/23/1939, in Middleborough, MA. Survived by a married adult daughter from her first marriage, Mrs. Anna (Zigman) Snyder, age 22, of Virginia Beach, VA. With her husband was one of the two eldest married couples present in which both spouses perished, a combined 102 years of age (also patrons Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Anna Stern, ages 56 and 46 respectively). Couple were two of 38 victims from the Boston district of Dorchester. Parents Mr. and Mrs. Morris and Ida (Simon) Cousin. Burial with her second husband at Mount Lebanon (Shara Tfilo) Cemetery, West Roxbury (Boston), MA. Pair were two of 23 Grove casualties interred at Mount Lebanon collective Jewish cemeteries, the third-most after connected Mount or "Old" Calvary and New Calvary cemeteries (30 burials combined), followed by St. Joseph's Cemetery (24 burials), both also in Boston.
