Mayor Kane (quote): "In such a situation, the person with the fastest legs could rush to probate court and be appointed. That is a wicked situation but a legal one" (Fitchburg Sentinel, Fitchburg, MA, 2/11/1943). "The four children orphaned by the deaths of their parents...were brought into Middlesex probate court yesterday...and delivered to their paternal grandfather...who has been appointed their permanent guardian" (The Boston Herald, 2/24/1943). Burial with her husband at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Couple were two of 12 Grove victims interred at Oak Grove Cemetery. Middle name Frances.
