Harney, age 24 (Born 4/29/1918. Died as Charlotte H. Behnke on 7/27/1970, age 52. Last residence Pasadena, CA), was not present. His estranged wife arrived from Reno, NV, by plane on Monday, too late to attend his funeral. Latter tried to obtain custody of their daughter Linda Ann, age 11 months (Born on 11/29/1941. Died as Linda M. Dallamora on 8/13/2007, age 65), and be named administratrix of his estate, but the court entrusted responsibilities to the attorney for the parents of Mr. Murphy. Widow returned to Reno, where in January 1943 she married 35-year-old George B. Behnke (Born 5/05/1907. Died 10/30/1993, age 86), a New York insurance broker, "...a few hours after Behnke had been divorced..." (Boston Evening American, 1/28/1943). Acquaintance between his widow and Mr. Behnke was made while the latter was previously employed in Framingham. A second cousin of Mr. Murphy, Nancy Anderson Ahern, later revealed: "His child, Linda, never saw her biological mother again." Graduate of Framingham High School in 1934. Was a graduate Boston University, College of Business Administration, 1939. Married in 1940, in Framingham. A younger sister Ruth, age 24, who had planned to meet the party later, married the fire-widowed Mr. Williams in 1945. Attractive family home in Framingham (address above) was later purchased and razed by the Friendly's restaurant chain in 1962 (Nancy Anderson Ahern, sadly in 2021: "They just offered the family the most money"). Parents Mr. and Mrs. John A. and Margaret F. (McGillicuddy) Murphy, same address. Burial at St. Stephen's Cemetery, Framingham. Middle name Eugene.
