Born on 9/01/1910, in Cambridge, MA. Died of burns (death certificate). Salesman, Charlestown (Boston), MA, office, General Baking Co., of New York, NY. Was known as "Jack." Companion (or companions) if any at the club unknown. Remains were taken to Northern Mortuary in Boston. His service area included Revere, Chelsea and East Boston (Boston), MA. "Covering his district for a Boston [sic] concern, he was popular with a wide circle of friends" (Revere Journal, 12/03/1942). Had lived in Revere since youth. Was a graduate of Revere High School in 1929. Wife former Alyce Olitsky, age 30 (Born 1/12/1912. Died as Alyce Katzoff on 7/05/1984, age 72. Last residence Baltimore, MD), married in 1936, in Revere. Wife was not known present. Survived by a son Martin, age 5. Medium build (WWII draft registration, October '40: 5' 10½," 155 lbs.). Was one of seven victims from the north shore city of Revere (also Miss Josephine Camusi, age 30, Robert Freede, age 51, Max Gorvine, age 44, Miss Pauline Hyman, age 18, club bartender Paul Mikalonis "Mitchell," age 27, also Miss Rosenbaum). The above baking firm, known for its popular "Bond" brand pre-sliced bread, operated until 1979. Parents Mr. and Mrs. Isadore "Edward" and Esther (Harris) Schwartz. Burial at Fuller Street Cemetery, Everett, MA. One of 18 fire victims buried at the above Fuller Street collective Jewish cemeteries, the fourth-greatest resting grounds for all Grove casualties, and most at any single site outside Boston proper. Middle name Leslie.
