Also: "Maurice Gordon...said that until his father met Mrs. Minnie Ziegman [sic] about 1931, he had been a great family man, but that thereafter he left home." Will was upheld on 6/21/1943 by Judge John V. Mahoney. To the U.S. in 1904. First wife former Mary Rubin, divorced in 1936 (above Judge Mahoney oddly on the separation with his first wife: "That settlement reminds the court of a rabbit stew half rabbit and half horse, and it looks as though Mary was getting the half a horse"). Second wife and fire victim former Miss Minnie Cousin (surname Zigman by a previous marriage), married in 1939. Also survived by a married adult daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Oppenheim, age 35, of Brighton (Boston), MA (the latter was bequeathed $1,000, did not challenge her father's will). Was the fourth-oldest patron known present and sixth-oldest individual overall known present at the blaze. Parents Mr. and Mrs. Morris and Gertrude Gordon. Burial with his second wife at Mount Lebanon (Shara Tfilo) Cemetery, West Roxbury (Boston), MA.
