Age 19. 12 Fletcher Terrace, Watertown, MA. Born on 6/18/1923, in Waltham, MA. Died of carbon monoxide poisoning (death certificate). Telephone operator at Raytheon Manufacturing Co. (radio and electronic devices), of Waltham (death certificate). Companion (or companions) at the Grove unknown. Her remains were located at Waterman's Funeral Home, Boston. Was one of five Raytheon company employees known present at the club when the blaze broke, three died (also Miss Grace Evelyn Brown, age 25, of Waltham, and Miss Eula Place, age 21, of Newtonville, MA), two survived (Bryant Fowler, age 27, of Arlington, MA, and Miss Adelphine "Dolly" Guedri, age 30, of West Roxbury, MA). Was raised in Waltham. Seventh oldest of ten siblings. Was single. Younger of two Grove victims from the city of Watertown (also Dr. Lloyd E. Beckwith, age 29, a patron). One of 46 teens killed in the holocaust (at least 37 others known present survived). One of 61 minors (then under age 21) to perish (of a total 490 victims). Was also one of 464 club guests killed in addition to 24 non-patrons (including 17 employees, 6 visiting entertainers, one War Bonds salesgirl, also two outside passing rescuers, Harold Hawkins, age 46, and Stanley Viator, age 25). Parents Mr. and Mrs. Dennis J. and Delia M. (Keane) O'Brien, same address. Burial at Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Was one of six Grove casualties interred at Calvary Cemetery (also Mr. and Mrs. Felix and Helen Cafarella, ages 28 and 26, Arthur Connelly, age 30, and Arthur McLaughlin, age 35, plus the above Miss Place, all patrons). Middle name Frances.
