Age 25. 8 Wells Street, Worcester, MA. Born on 11/21/1917, in Worcester. Died of carbon monoxide poisoning (death certificate). Inspector, Parker & Harper Manufacturing Co. (screw machine products), of Worcester. One of four Parker & Harper employees at the club in a central Bay State party of six. Was present with her boyfriend and coworker Robert Biggar, age 24, also Warren Foisy, age 27, his date Miss Helen Fitzpatrick, age 24, and Mr. and Mrs. David and Sophie Sundberg, ages 24 and 25 respectively, all of Worcester, all dead. All except Miss Fitzpatrick and Mrs. Sundberg were connected with the above machine products firm. Group came to Boston to witness the season finale B.C. Eagles / Holy Cross Crusaders football contest held at Fenway Park. Her remains were identified at Southern Mortuary in Boston. Was raised in Worcester. Attended Worcester High School of Commerce. Was single. Was one of 234 females killed in the disaster, along with 256 males (the latter count including two outside passing rescue workers), a total of 490 casualties. With her boyfriend were two of 19 victims from the city of Worcester (also Miss Anna Chiras, age 22, Miss Monica Conlon, age 22, Samuel Falcone, age 28, Hubert Fitch, age 26, Miss Sadie Fors, age 17, Charles Hildreth, Jr., age 22, Mr. and Mrs. Eric and Mary Johnson, ages 43 and 42, Boris Lolo, age 25, Miss Marion Looby, age 19, Mr. and Mrs. John, Sr., and Lucia Moossa, Sr., ages 32 and 29, and Richard Vient, age 20, all patrons, plus all in her party). Parents Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. and Mabel G. (Kane) Proal, Worcester. Father was a baker at the College of the Holy Cross, in Worcester. Burial at St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. One of eight fire casualties interred at St. John's Cemetery (also Miss Alice Deignan, age 23, plus the above Miss Chiras, Miss Conlon, Mr. Falcone, Miss Fitzpatrick, Mr. Foisy, and Miss Looby).
