Never married), escaped, the latter's companion Joseph Swan, age 35, dead, both of West Roxbury (Boston), MA, also an unnamed man (fate unknown). Group had attended the big afternoon B.C. Eagles / Holy Cross Crusaders collegiate football game at Fenway Park. Had dinner reservations at a Boston hotel. "No table had been set aside, however, and it was only then that someone suggested the night club" (Parkway Transcript, Roslindale, MA, 12/03/1942). Arrived between 8:45 and 9:00 p.m. Were seated in the main dining room at the first table just inside the entrance from the Piedmont Street foyer. Lone confirmed party survivor Miss O'Neil to Boston Police, 11/29/1942: "I fell down. I was carried out." Was single. Living with her maternal grandparents (at age 6) in Dorchester (Boston), MA, as of the 1920 federal census. Was a graduate of Emmanuel College, Boston, 1936. Late parents Mr. and Mrs. Percy D. and Maebelle I. "Mary" (McVey) Hamilton. Burial at New Calvary Cemetery, Mattapan (Boston), MA. One of 30 Grove victims interred at the above cemetery and its adjoining Mount (or "Old") Calvary Cemetery, Roslindale (Boston), MA, the most at any single site, followed by St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury (24 burials), then Mount Lebanon Cemetery, also in West Roxbury (23 burials). Middle name Wellesley.
