Her remains were transported to Northern Mortuary, Boston. Moved from Cambridge to Worcester with her family at age one. Shown as "Sophia" (at age 12) in the 1930 federal census, "Sophie" all other sources (including her death certificate). With her husband was one of 56 married couples present in which both spouses perished (includes the Gatturnas of Roslindale, MA; wife Grace died at the scene, husband Francis committed fire-related suicide five weeks later on 1/09/1943). With her husband and their companions were six of 464 club guests killed in addition to 26 non-patrons deceased (including 17 employees, 6 visiting entertainers, one War Bonds salesgirl, also two outside passing fire rescuers), a total of 490 dead.
