Was the lone casualty from the village of Newton Highlands (victims Walter King, age 29, and Gray Miller, Jr., age 26, lodged together in Newton Highlands but were both permanent residents elsewhere). Parents Mr. and Mrs. Irving R. and Mary E. (Kaminsky) Lubell, same address. Father was an assistant manager at I. J. Fox, Inc., Boston furrier (fire victims Mrs. Elaine Curtin, age 29, and Miss Ruth Karmelin, age 22, were attached to the same firm, no other known connection). Burial at Temple Israel Cemetery, Wakefield, MA. Was the younger of two Grove casualties interred at Temple Israel Cemetery (also Stéphane Oppenheim, age 26, a patron in a separate party). Middle name Rhoda.
