With her cousin Bernard "Leo" Galligan, age 26, also of Attleboro, dead, joined a post-football-game evening cocktail party at the Quincy, MA, home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest, dead, and Marion Bizzozero (Born 1/04/1902. Died 6/18/1988, age 86), survived, both age 40, "...after attending the Boston College-Holy Cross football game at Fenway Park..." (Quincy Patriot Ledger, 11/30/1942). Group of 14 then reunited at the Grove, nine died. Were seated at combined tables to form one large table to the right-hand side of the rolling wooden dance floor. Her body was identified at Southern Mortuary by her father and a brother at 5 p.m. on Sunday, but was then claimed as another victim. A second visit by relatives verified identification: "A watch and some jewelry which Miss Mulkern wore were strong evidence..." (Attleboro Sun, 11/30/1942). Was a graduate of Attleboro High School. Was single. Resided at a bungalow (address above) with a hometown friend, Miss Marion Dexter (was not present). Was a lifelong resident of Attleboro. With her cousin were the lone Grove victims from the Bristol County city of Attleboro. One of 116 single female patron victims killed in the disaster (also 93 married, 14 engaged and 4 divorced women guests died, a total 227 female patron casualties). With Mr. Galligan were two of 464 club guests deceased in addition to 26 non-patrons dead (including 17 employees, 6 visiting entertainers, one War Bonds salesgirl, also two outside passing fire rescuers), a total of 490 claimed. Parents Mr. and Mrs. Mark and Rose (Leddy) Mulkern. Burial at St. John's Cemetery, Attleboro (same resting grounds as Mr. Galligan). Middle name Agnes.
