Age 29. 12 Prentice Street, Worcester, MA. Born 9/14/1913, in Worcester. Died of burns (death certificate). Housewife (death certificate). Was known as "Lucy." Husband John, age 32, also died. Pair were in a party of five with Worcester Police Sergt. Eric Johnson, age 43, his wife Mary, age 42, also Samuel Falcone, age 28, all of Worcester. all dead. Her death was referenced in the Quincy Patriot Ledger, Quincy, MA, 11/30/1942: "The sister of a North Quincy man, Paul Clemente [not present]...had come to Boston Saturday to attend the Holy Cross-Boston College football game...The body...was identified Sunday night by her brother." Remains were located at Northern Mortuary in Boston. Married in 1934, in Worcester. Was a lifelong Worcester resident. Surname (with her husband) was misspelled "Moosa" (with one "s") in some news accounts. Was shown by her popular-usage first name "Lucy" on the final official November 1943 Boston Committee on Public Safety master casualties list (surname spelling with her husband was correct). Was shown by her formal name "Lucia" on her death certificate. With her husband was one of 56 married couples present in which both spouses perished. Survived by an infant son, John, Jr., age 1. Child was one of 43 minor offspring (then under age 21) orphaned by losing both parents in the catastrophe (plus one minor daughter orphaned when her widowed father died), 101 other known minors lost a single parent each. The above group comprised five of 19 residents taken from the city of Worcester, tied with Cambridge, MA, for the third-most deaths from any single municipality after Boston proper (147 victims) and Quincy, MA (24 dead). Parents Mr. and Mrs. Matteo and Raffaela (Tomaiolo) Clemente. Burial with her husband at Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Middle name Helen.
