Louise Sullivan, age 27, and a second engaged couple, Robert "Bob" Widdop, age 31, and Miss Virginia "Ginnie" MacCurdy, age 27, all of Quincy, all dead. Party attended the Grove to celebrate their respective engagements. Was a lifelong Quincy resident. Was a graduate of Quincy High School in 1934 (yearbook first name spelling "Laurence" with a "u," possibly an error). Earned unfortunate posthumous news mention when a younger brother Joseph was killed in a May 1948 South Weymouth (Weymouth), MA, auto accident (Quincy Patriot Ledger, 5/17/1948: "Ironically, both died at the age of 27"). Recalled decades later by a descendant of Miss Sullivan (November 2014): "My aunt and godmother Jane Louise Sullivan...was with Lawrence T. Ford that night as they celebrated being engaged...As a 5-year-old child, I only remember he had a wire terrier named Bunkie" (www3.gendisasters.com). One of 14 fire casualties interred at the above resting grounds, the sixth-greatest final destination for all Grove victims and third-most at any site outside Boston proper (after Fuller Street collective Jewish cemeteries, Everett, MA, 18 burials, and Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden, MA, 16 burials).
