Was a graduate of Cole Trade School, Southbridge. Was recently divorced, ex-wife former J. Pauline Favreau, age 21 (Born 11/25/1921. Died as Pauline Martinez 3/21/2009, San Antonio, TX, age 87), married in 1941. Couple had no children. Average build (WWII draft registration, October '40: 5' 11," 172 lbs.). His WWII draft registration card shows the correct month and day of his birth but misstates the birth year as "1910." One of six Grove victims from the blue-collar central Bay State city of Southbridge (also Mr. and Mrs. H. Houghton Bellows and his wife Rita, ages 25 and 24, Steven Casavant, age 21, Raymond Martel, age 22, and Gray Miller, Jr., age 26, the latter lodging in Newton, MA). One of 256 males dead (including two outside passing rescue workers) along with 234 women, a total of 490 killed. Parents Mr. Joseph G., Sr., same Southbridge address, and the late Mrs. Annie L.
