Age 23. 10 Verdun Street, Dorchester (Boston), MA. Born on 7/05/1919, in Boston. Died of burns (death certificate). Clerk, wholesale drugs (death certificate). Companion (or companions) at the club unknown. Her remains were identified at Northern Mortuary, Boston. No connection (except a common surname) with patrons Mr. and Mrs. William and Eva Healy, ages 46 and 41 respectively, of Allston (Boston), MA, victims in a large so-called "Allston-Brighton Sewing Circle" main dining room party of 15. Was single. Was survived by two older sisters and a younger brother (none present). Father, a beer salesman (era street listings), appeared at public parole hearings held in November 1946 on a proposed pardon for incarcerated club owner Barnett "Barney" Welansky (Born 11/22/1897. Died 1/27/1947, heart failure, age 49) on grounds of failing health. "Healey [sic] said he opposed the pardon because he believed Welansky was 'criminally negligent'" (Boston Traveler, 11/25/1946). Was a lifelong Boston resident. Parents Mr. and Mrs. Michael J. and Margaret E. (Galvin) Healy, same address. Burial at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Roslindale (Boston), MA. One of eight Grove casualties interred at Mount (or "Old") Calvary Cemetery (plus another 22 at the attached New Calvary Cemetery, Mattapan, MA); the combined total of 30 victim burials was more than at any other single location. A "Card of Thanks" from her parents and family appeared in The Boston Globe, 12/04/1942: "The family of the late Helen Healy wish to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all relatives, friends and neighbors for their kind expressions of sympathy in our recent bereavement."
