One of ten victims from the Hub "neighborhood" of Allston (also Mr. Harold James Ford and his wife Doris, ages 34 and 39, Mr. and Mrs. William and Eva Healy, ages 46 and 41, Miss Sirkka Lindgren, age 22, Mr. and Mrs. James, Jr., and Margaret McFarlin, ages 55 and 52, Mrs. Constance "Connie" Sheridan, age 28, all patrons, and waiter Harold Snyderman, age 32). Parents Mr. and Mrs. Henry M. and Mary A. (Fitzmaurice) Gartland, same address. Joint funeral services with her fiancé held the following Wednesday were attended by Boston mayor Maurice Tobin, age 41 (Born 5/22/1901. Died 7/19/1953, heart attack, age 52).
