Lone party survivor Miss Thompson (Born 5/07/1920. Died as Marjorie T. Hentschel on 11/01/2001, age 81. To the U.S. in 1928. Was a graduate of Waltham High School. Made news in June 1936 when he was robbed by two men at a Waltham restaurant of $12 and a quantity of cigarettes: "Charles Hirtle...the attendant said the men forced him into a backroom" (The Boston Globe, 6/13/1936). Medium build (WWII draft registration, October '40: 5' 8," 165 lbs.). Was the youngest of three Grove victims from the Boston suburb of Belmont (also married patrons Mr. and Mrs. Oliver and Josephine St. Pierre, ages 39 and 35 respectively). The above Hub-based meat processor operated into 1986 when it closed and sold off its popular provisions labels (including "Fenway Franks" and New York-marketed "Yankees Franks"). Parents Mrs. Anna L. (Meisner), same address, and the late Mr. George Hirtle. "Joint funeral services for Mr. Hirtle and Miss Lindgren were held Wednesday morning...at the University Lutheran Church, Cambridge [MA]..." (Belmont Citizen, 12/04/1942).
