(The Birmingham News, Birmingham, AL, 12/04/1942). Harvard University law school junior (local address: 76 Mt. Auburn Street, Cambridge, MA). His remains were located at Southern Mortuary, Boston. "His body was identified by several classmates..." (The Boston Herald, 11/30/1942). Was single. Was a graduate of Ramsay High School, Birmingham, AL, where he was a member of the debating team. Was to have received his U.S. Army commission the coming June. Unusual first name was misspelled "Broaddeus" (with an added "e") in some news accounts. Misspelled "Broadus" (with a single "d") on his death certificate and on the final official November 1943 Boston Committee on Public Safety casualties list. Was one of five Harvard civilian undergrads dead (also Herbert Arnold, Jr., age 18, James "Jimmy" Jenkins, age 22, Allan Kluber, age 18, and Arthur Silberberg, age 18), ten Harvard military students were also killed. Was a lifelong resident of Birmingham, AL. One of seven claimed from the Cotton State also Ensign John Albritton, Sr., U.S.N.R., age 28, Lieut. Albert "Clyde" Sullivan, U.S. Army, age 22), tied (with Pennsylvania) as the 4th-most from any state after Massachusetts (406), New York (15) and New Hampshire (9). Parents Judge and Mrs. Joseph E. and Lucile M. (Massey) Robinson, same Alabama address. Father was a U.S. Referee in bankruptcy court. Burial at Forest Hill Cemetery, Birmingham, AL (first name spelled on his stone as shown here). Middle name Embry.
