Died 4/11/2002, age 87), and her husband Irving, age 33 (Born 5/30/1909. Died 2/27/1988, age 78), of Malden, MA, both escaped. Group was standing at the elevated Caricature Bar adjacent to the main dining room waiting for the late show to begin. When fire broke they started east through the passageway towards the New Lounge exit out to Broadway. His sister recalled in 1967: "My brother and his date were right behind us. People were saying, 'Don't panic...take it easy'" (The Boston Herald, 11/28/1967). Also: "We must have been the last ones out that door, because my brother had been right behind. But he never made it through after someone tripped." His sister and her husband went to where Mr. Rosenfarb had parked his car, but he was not there. His body was located Sunday evening at Waterman's Funeral Home, in Boston. Survived by a daughter Joy, age 4. Widow married one Martin H. Hopfner in 1943, latter shown (oddly) as the father of the above daughter in the '38 state birth index. Name was misreported as "Albert Rosen Ford" on early Grove casualty lists, was later corrected. Was tall and trim (WWII draft registration, October '40: 6' 2," 185 lbs.). Obvious physical characteristics (WWII draft registration card): "Wears glasses (sometimes)." Complexion (WWII draft card): "Dark brown." Parents Mrs. Rachel (Guralnick) and the late Mr. Joseph H.
