Last residence Falmouth, MA), a medical student at Middlesex University, Waltham, MA, was severely injured. Couple was attached to a main dining room raised rear terrace party of nine with Lieut. Benjamin Chiampa, U.S. Army, age 25, injured, his wife Giovanna "Jennie," age 22, and his 15-year-old sister Eleanor, both dead, all of Newton, MA, also Mr. Saul Davis, age 24 (Born 3/29/1918. Died as Dr. Saul P. Davis on 3/23/2008, age 89), and his wife Henrietta, age 22 (Born 7/05/1920. Died 8/06/1986, age 66), of Brookline, both injured, and Pvt. Max Rice, U.S. Army, age 27 (Born 3/31/1915. Died 9/27/1982, age 67), and wife Beatrice, age 23 (Born 9/25/1919. Died as Beatrice A. Levinson on 10/07/2001, age 82), of Brighton (Boston), MA, both injured. Mr. Davis was also a medical student at Middlesex University (predecessor of Brandeis University). Husband at the spring 1943 Grove manslaughter trials (quote): "We were about ready to leave - we were already standing up - when I heard someone shout fire. My wife went to a little ledge on the terrace near our table to get her coat, then I began to feel very intense heat" (Boston Evening American, 3/28/1943). "Her death, occurring shortly after that of [patron] Mrs. Josephine D. St. Pierre...raised the total fatalities to just above or below the 500 mark" (Boston Evening American, 12/08/1942). Was actually the 485th of 490 eventual casualties. Was the last spouse of a surviving married partner to perish, nine days post-blaze. Husband suffered burns to his face, hands, ears, scalp, throat, and back, was hospitalized through 2/04/1943. Couple wed earlier in 1942. Husband was later a psychiatrist in Brookline, Needham, and Wellesley, MA, hosted the cable television show, Talk About the Mind and Body. One of 20 names chosen by the Commonwealth as representative victims at the spring 1943 manslaughter trials. Parents Mr. and Mrs. Louis and Elizabeth (Sussler) Forgelman. Burial at Mount Lebanon (Mohliver) Cemetery, West Roxbury (Boston), MA.
